Just because an issue doesn't affect you directly doesn't make it not "real politics" or a "storm in a teacup", these phrases only serve to minimize and brush away very real concerns from very people from marginalized and vulnerable groups of society.

No, it's a perfectly acceptable place to draw the line. Labour have made nothing but missteps, since acquiring a majority, to key parts of their votebase.

This is not an issue to be minimized. They are real people who really exist. If you had a transgender child, sibling, friend would you minimize?

Rejected it? In line with the beliefs he ran on, the beliefs I felt comfortable with Labour upholding. The same beliefs the party no longer and preaches the opposite of now.

I've been a labour voter all my life until I woke up and saw that headline today, no backbone to be found in Keir Starmer.

This is "real politics", it affects the lives of hundreds of thousands of people across the UK. Odds are you know someone this affects whether you know you know them or not. A government that previously championed Transgender rights now pulling a U-turn because it's populist and convenient.

It is not an issue of politics, so why is it being legislated upon, why are trans people having their previously acquired and protected rights questioned? This isn't a "gotcha" question it's people's lives. Trans women are women, trans men are men. Non-Binary people exist.

I still agree with many Labour policies, nationalisation of services, building more homes, funding the correct sectors. I know there's money needed to fix the black hole, but there's better ways to earn that money than to cut other key services.
Alienating their votebase in the LGBTQIA+ community?

Putting the country back together by dividing communities, taking benefits from people that need them, and being more socially and economically conservative than the last tory government? I don't think so.

A rot has set in within Labour, and a once great party has been reduced to a fetid pile.

You should note I said vote for the future, I did not say vote for Lib Dems. Lib Dems are centre, currently left of Conservatives and Labour, Green Party is the party of the left now. Eco-Socialism and Libertarian Democracy.

That's a PR stunt mate, not policy work. It's intended to draw attention to the party and show people we're not actually a two-party system, even though it often feels that way.

People can look into the policies afterwards if they think Ed Davies is a funny bloke. It's been a formula for eons.
