all I'm saying is it would be a stupid move and probably not in the interests of the PRC if they didn't do this but there is also an unfortunate conflict between LGBT rights being seen as like western degeneracy thanks to liberal pinkwashing about how western imperialism = LGBT rights

I think it would honestly just be a smart geopolitical play for China to change its stance on LGBT people. there's already been a hugely positive shift in perception this year of the PRC, would be a good PR opportunity. I would be surprised if they don't start making moves like this soon tbh
