Just in time for Father’s Day, NYU's Deutsches Haus will present a new exhibition from New York-based photographer Dirk Anschütz titled "Fathers & Sons,” a long-term portraiture project showcasing what fatherhood and masculinity can look like.

While exploring how crystals form, NYU PhD student Shihao Zang came across an unusual, rod-shaped crystal that hadn’t been identified before. A team of researchers used a computer model to study it in detail, and now it's named Zangenite, after his discovery.

On April 18, 1831, NYU was founded and shortly after received its initial charter from the New York State Legislature, laying the groundwork for the global institution that exists today. That makes the university 194 years old today 🥳 🎊
