I so miss Florent

Legendary, 24hr restaurant in the Meatpacking district, back when there was actual meatpacking happening there

Design was handled by M&Co, a story worth digging into

Building something quick to put on a spare, vertically oriented screen

I've sat on images from Robert Longo's "Men in the Cities", so made my adjustments and setup the slideshow

Much more to explore. Good enough for now

Mentioned feeling the Introspekt set I caught at essaim a few weeks ago, but Sansibar ... woah

It was his set that really carried me. Welding past eras and future concepts built an epic universe to dance within

To the last track

Robert Longo : Men in the Cities

For a project

The book is spendy, so solution was to borrow it from NYPL and do the work at home

Sadly the loaner is now missing, tho a copy is thankfully kept safe in the Art & Architecture Collection at the Schwarzman building

Piotr Uklanski, Untitled (Dance Floor), 1996

>In 1996, the Polish artist’s minimalist floor sculpture recast Gavin Brown’s NYC gallery as a disco, distilling the elation of dance and the melancholy of its era’s unfulfillable promise.

Shot+should've posted yesterday ....

I'd heard that on a single night of the year, all the ginkgo trees in NYC drop their leaves. That was Sunday night

After years of doubt, can confirm this is truth!

I didn’t walk the whole neighborhood, but i checked a couple streets, and they’re all down. Woo

We'd just left the American Academy of Arts and Letters having spent time with Raven Chacon's installation, Aviary. Highly suggested

This was a quick phone edit. I have a RAW file that I'll take further

Amazing the experience of revisiting an image after a couple days. The orange saturation was just brutal

I wonder what I'll do with the pic a couple days from now. heh

Extended my trip by a week, so have had to put in time from the road. Turns out there are lots of great spaces to get setup and crank it out in Paris
