Understand that unlearning racism is a life-long goal. You don’t suddenly stop having white privilege because you read a book or two on how to not be racist. You have to take action and apply this knowledge. Every single day. Check your own behavior first, don’t expect POC to educate you or keep you in check. Seek out answers on your own, ask genuine questions, make the effort to read up on history and material already written by POC on these issues.

In the sense of organizing and 'hosting' the pledge I mean. Nobody is following leaders, at least I personally am not, can't speak for anybody else. I mean in the sense of having white people be at the forefront of it. I saw she 'gave control' to another white person (?) from what I saw.

Genuinely asking: Do you find it easier to enjoy her work if you ignore the references to racist memes? I personally can’t enjoy anyone’s work if they joke about racism and are white. There is nothing to enjoy there for me personally as I know that creator doesn’t care about me.
