u dont have to respond to this any of this, not trying to start a debate or something lol. just wanted to get the thoughts ive had while playing outta my head hihi

when i play metroid games the areas, movement, level design and art all compliment eachother, its not only just fun to run around by itself but you quickly get familiar with the areas. so after a while i barely use the map. which makes exploration and the game as a whole much more rewarding and fun

so traversal doesn't feel nearly as fun as it should. this combined with the areas sections and rooms all looking same-ish makes me look at the map constanly to actually see where im going so i don't get lost which makes the traversal more of a slog imo
