Another idea, (if you drive) is to drive around to the small street/local protests and give them a honk and holler and support to combat any negativity they may get from unfriendly drivers.

Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin - it’s beautiful for a read aloud, both my kids loved around kindergarten. (There are 2 more also by Grace Lin that kind of make up a trilogy) highly recommend!
