Goal 200K reached for September to raise awareness for POI! I was diagnosed with POI in 2016 at age 26, symptoms since age 22. I’m currently 37 and raising funds for the Daisy Network who have been a great support and resource all these years.

Got a call Friday evening, that my prescription for AJOVY has been sent to my pharmacy. Rang pharmacy straight away to order it in. Today the day for the first injection. I’ve had 7 migraine attacks since we agreed to start medication and just waiting on approval from HSE.

Today I collected my sub cut injection form of methotrexate and cytotoxic sharp bin also arrived. Got my letter from GP to travel with my injections for future holidays. GP updated on recent events, once receives report from ultrasound sending on referral to Coombe for further investigations. #poi

Now got my date and time for my MRI thoracic spine with contrast, least doing that part of repeat but prob need cervical done done too proves surgeon didn’t read all the info sent him, only name and looked at his previous notes and ordered the repeat and not wat neuro suggested. #fibro #poi

You so may not know what someone else going through, we learn to deal with pain on a regular basis, that only when gets so bad than unable to function that people may know what going on. #fibro #psoriaticarthritis #methrexate #migraine #poi

Last week & today been spent following up on treatment advice. Between email ANP rheumatology, ringing CNS rheumatology to get bloods ordered, and contacting complex menopause clinic for follow up. Really makes u wonder if we not proactive in our own healthcare. Are we just lost to follow up?
