Gracie Mansion has been the official residence of New York City’s mayors since 1942, but it has had a long history before that. Built in 1799 as a summer home for merchant Archibald Gracie.

Two Conservancy grants are helping restore The Stephen-Prier House (circa 1857-59) at Historic Richmond Town after the building suffered significant water damage. Historic Richmond Town is a living history village with 38 historic buildings on Staten Island. #historicrichmondtown
