#NYC #NYI #isles Matthew Schaefer is a superstar. Did not expect this kid who just turned 18 and only played 12 games last year to dominate against NHL veterans to this degree. NY should be undefeated given how much he has played on this very flawed team overall.

#NYC #NYI #isles Lots of mistakes in two wins vs Edmonton/Ottawa but they had some very good moments also. Pageau-Palmieri-Cizikas mistakes killing this team really hurting the young forwards who are stuck with them in middle and Palmieri who is too slow to win pucks without Barzal.

#NYC #NYI #isles Liked Holmstrom-Tsyplykov-Shabanov goal, and Duclair-Heineman winner but just flash goals no sustained pressure in Flyers end of ice. Took 11 minutes for a shot in third period. And Flyers were not good last night.

#NYC #NYI #isles Too many slow, soft, old, bad in transition in too many spots who can't score, and struggle in the corners, bad positioning in the lanes, slow sticks. Out of six games only one was prospects at Msg down 4-1 with some push back off awful goaltending from Knickshockey mistakes.

#NYC #NYI #isles I saw the Steve Stirling undefeated preseason and I saw all six games of this one. Worst preseason ever. Flyers were terrible and NYI got very little sustained pressure but a few nice flash goals. NYI played regulars and lost against two prospect teams. Special teams terrible.

Pageau/Cizikas are completely useless and cannot be unloaded fast enough.

#NYC #NYI #isles DeAngelo for his offense is absolutely terrible on defense as he was last season, as is Boqvist who was unplayable last year. The right side of the defense is a huge problem. Age, lack of scoring is also a problem that does not seem fixable with special teams.

#NYC #NYI #isles Most NHL camps you just want to know your team can skate, defend, put up some goals. This has been a brutal preseason where full roster NYI have been outworked, outskated by teams with prospects in all five games, with so many non-scores on a badly aging roster. Drouin looks awful.
