We are excited to announce our fall writing challenge! Join us as we travel AROUND THE NOVEL IN 90 DAYS!

June is an excellent time to pick up an abandoned project and find the end. Or start a new project between now and then and plan to finish it in June! A lot of us have piles of incomplete projects sitting around, so we wanted to have a month to focus on finishing things.

The Discord will now be known as The Society of Wayward Writers and your MLs will become Mods for the server and related events.💜
March 6, 2024 at 1:15 AM
We're still very affiliated with writing & each other! We'll continue to work as a team to keep you writing, so for questions/advice, reach out to any of us & the same team will respond. Thank you for understanding & we look forward to writing with you all for years to come.
March 6, 2024 at 1:15 AM
That doesn't mean we'll be leaving you in the dust! Our Discord will remain open & we'll be running sprints, write-ins & more around Camps & in November. But let us be clear: our Discord & your team are no longer affiliated with NaNoWriMo/any events run through them as a company.

Announcement: First off, thank you for joining this community & keeping the writers’ spirit alive & well year round! Secondly, we'd like to be open & candid with you as we always have been. Come this NaNoWriMo 2024, all your current MLs for the NYC region will be stepping down.

Okay Nighttime Novelists, we've got another one for you!

6. Are you plotting this NaNoWriMo novel, pantsing it, plantsing it, or are you a rebel and it's not a novel at all?

#NYCNoWriMo those replies!
November 7, 2023 at 12:24 AM
Please forgive your ML! Posting these Nighttime Novelist questions whilst juggling NaNo events, writing, and life has been a bit rough. Better late than never, though, right?

5. Is your MC a subway person, a bus person, a cab person, or do they walk everywhere?

#NYCNoWriMo

And here's tonight's Nighttime Novelist question:

4. What's your favorite writerly fun fact about New York?

#NYCNoWriMo
November 5, 2023 at 3:04 AM
Oops! We've been having so much fun at our evening write-ins this weekend that we neglected to post last night's Nighttime Novelist question! Here it is:

3. What NYC breakfast spot would your character(s) patronize?

Remember to include #NYCNoWriMo in your replies!
November 5, 2023 at 3:03 AM
It's time for another #NYCNoWriMo Nighttime Novelist question!

2. Tell us one random and interesting thing about your MC (and for those of you new to this, that's "main character").
November 3, 2023 at 1:20 AM
This year, we're bringing back our Nighttime Novelist evening questions! Tonight's question lets us get to know you a little bit, Wrimos:

1. What borough(s) are you writing from?

Remember to put #NYCNoWriMo in your reply so we can see what you share!
