As Trump starts his second term, Mayor Adams questioning NYC’s sanctuary status, and with thousands of migrants living in the city, I wanted to see how ICE interacted with the NYPD and the Department of Corrections in this one specific way, called civil immigration detainers.

NYC is losing thousands of rent stabilized units each year. City Council changed the zoning laws to build more housing earlier this month. But, as Council Speaker Adrienne Adams said, zoning isn't the only way to address NYC's housing needs. Cue rent stabilization.
