Current law exempts the first $14 million from the Nepo Tax, and the proposal under the Trump tax bill is to raise that to $30 million.

Thirty million dollars of tax free nepo dollars.

Thirty million dollars of failqueen welfare.

This should be a winning issue for Democrats, if we can just learn to ignore the other infuriations of the death tax premise and focus on the undeservingness of its beneficiaries.

Then we can point out that not only do these eton-jacketed knob polishers want to stuff their grubby cheeks with ALL of Mum and Dad’s money, they even want to be gifted the latent capital gains taxes their departed scions already owed on it! Bullshit!

Our titans get to keep their money their whole damn lives. We tax their sausage-fingered nepo-spawn, who earned exactly none of that money! We need to put those weak-chinned snot-gobblers front and center in any conversation about estate taxation. Start by calling it the Nepobaby Tax.

Since the 1990’s the right has framed estate taxation as the “death tax,” asking America “why are we taxing the money our virile titans of Capitalism earned all by themselves, just at the moment of their tragic and untimely death?” But that’s not who we are taxing!
