Do you listen to masters on multiple devices? It could be a issue with your headphones or speakers!!! I usually do a test listen on three different sets of headphones, laptop speakers, iPhone speaker and maybe my turntable if I can be bothered ahaha

Do you add a limiter? I mix to have everything at -12dB, the volume is usually fine with that. I add a gain plugin if needed
