Hello, I’d like to file an official complaint about [name of company here]‘s censorship policies regarding the sale of adult content on platforms such as Itch.io and Steam. Pressuring companies to delist and delete artworks based on their perceived moral content is a clear violation of freedom of speech and expression. These policies defund and silence marginalized creators, such as female, nonwhite and LGBTQ+ artists. By stifling creative freedom, you are actively destabilizing the online entertainment market, you are ruining your company’s profits, and you are making life harder for your customers and clients. This is a huge mistake. Finally, I will demand that [name of company here] rejects influence from moral extremist groups who misrepresent sexuality in art as harm. this mentions the harm that is happening beyond steam and itchio. This censorship has been happening for a long time, games are just their latest target.
