Mind you, the department I'm working at are mostly civil engineers, and in our line of work, these people are highly important for the safety of everyone around us.

AI can't replace us humans, as they CAN'T see human errors nor THINK like humans.

My boss' response?

"AI can and should be a tool to help guide our work, but it doesn't mean we should rely 100% on it. We still need the human eye to check for potential errors, and we still need the human EMPATHY to consider the risks our work can pose to the people around us."

I told him about the ethical issues and potential privacy violations generative AI has, and how AI bros tend to gloss over these important issues. I explained to him about Hayao Miyazaki's stance against AI, and how we're slowly becoming less and less human thanks to technology.
