Voters favored the status quo in two special elections in the Minnesota Senate on Tuesday, sending a Democrat and a Republican to St. Paul and locking in a one-seat Democratic majority for the upcoming legislative session.

New data shows that in broad swaths of MN, a potential buyer would need to make more than $100,000 to afford a median-priced home.

The median household income in MN is more than $10,000 less than that, meaning many are priced out of the housing market and a key part of the American dream.
