Saturday muse: the older I get, the more I think the secret to any good relationship is letting yourself be the world's biggest weirdo and then finding all the others who delight in and match your weirdness 💕
Flying my own little nerdy flag high today 😎☮️

My Saturday art pick is titled ‘Self-Portrait in Semi-Abstract Style, c. 1946-1952’ by US poet Sylvia Plath.
I believe art should make us feel all emotions, both the light ones and the darker ones. Sylvia Plath was a master at inviting us into the shadows through art and her written work.

"To live in this world
you must be able to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it
against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go."
Mary Oliver, excerpted from the poem, In Blackwater Woods.

I’m using the pruned branches from our orchard to make an old fashioned wattle type fence around my vegetable gardens. It needs to be refreshed every 4-5 years, but I like doing it and how it looks…

Happy Spirit Birthdays to Har Gobind Khorana and Ms Simone de Beauvior. Thank you both for changing my world, and expanding my mind.
And BIG living Rock Star Happy Birthdays to Jimmy Page and Dave Matthews--you each make my ears happy and my toes tappy.

The inability to stop thinking about something despite efforts to dismiss it from your mind is called PHRONOSIS.
Just “looping the loop” over here.

From Anne Lamott:
“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and do the right thing, the dawn will come.
You wait and watch and work and you don’t give up.”
I’m in for the long haul…
