A cold Sunday is in store for us with a reinforcing shot of cold air arriving this morning. Temps will decrease throughout the day and Monday morning will be our coldest morning before we warm to milder temps by mid week. Looking at a warm and possibly rainy Christmas Day. #PAwx

A sharp/strong cold front will pass through later tonight and early Sunday morning. The wind will get gusty again on Sunday, but not nearly as bad as it was on Friday.

The Harrisburg airport just reported a 59 knot (68 mph) wind gust as the line of showers moved through.

Gusty winds will continue this afternoon, though we expect wind gusts to remain between 40 and 55 mph most of the time.

Widespread showers will become less numerous over the west through 8 AM as the west wind picks up. However, the heavy showers over the southern counties will continue moving to the east, and are expected to flare up and get stronger with a rumble of thunder or two possible. #PAwx

655 AM December 18th, 2025: A strong cold front will move across central Pennsylvania Friday morning. Winds will shift to the west and northwest and average 15 to 30 mph and gust to 40 to 50 mph, with even higher gust across the south central and Laurel Highlands.

700 PM Wednesday 12/17/25: After a mild day, temperatures will drop back into the 20s overnight. The refreezing of today's snowmelt combined with patchy fog could lead to slick spots on untreated roads and sidewalks overnight and early Thursday morning.

Tuesday - Dec 16, 2025 @ 730 PM EST: We'll have a much milder night tonight than Monday night. Wednesday through Friday will see daytime highs several degrees or more above normal in most places. A soaking rain of 0.5 to 1.0 inch will occur Late Thu and Thu Night.
