In one of his Facebook posts (lost the link) someone asks if he’s referring to people celebrating Charlie Kirk and he responds “Bingo”. Not sure what that has to do with board games but that’s apparently what he’s referencing

Fwiw I’d put it up with WSDV, though I’m far more likely to play WSDV (both because of length and bec it’s on Rally the Troops! Thanks, @ccxvii.bsky.social !)

Can completely understand this take (although it's not mine). I recall feeling that if RDR were a standalone, it would be too much. There was so much going on that it would have been overwhelming. But within the context of the COIN system, each mechanic felt like a variant that really enriched it

Super excited to try my other @vucasimulations.bsky.social games now — just picked up Chasing the Bismarck, and preordered Imperial Elegy and Modern Tactics: Afghanistan. And, of course, we’ll have to try the other scenarios in CtL: Aachen.

I’ve only played on BGA, but Toy Battle is more fun than it should be and plays very quickly. Hive is also a staple. Neither fit a historical theme, unfortunately, but both provide a fun experience.
