Black History is a responsibility.

The failure to fully reckon with the legacies of enslavement have led to MAGA & persistent racial inequality today.

Our abolitionist & civil rights ancestors made history fighting for equality and winning freedom for past generations, but their work is not over.

When abolitionists ended many forms of enslavement, they won amendments like birthright citizenship that formed the foundation for equality in our country.

Meanwhile, the Nazis specifically modeled laws to discriminate against Jews after the Jim Crow legal system.

Black History is being made every day.

Just last week, Sinners, an unapologetically Black movie that shines a light on both the horrors of Jim Crow and Black joy in the face of oppression made history by becoming the most Oscar nominated movie of all time.
