If the Steam Machine goes for < 500, I'd go with that either way. A 4K/60 capable device that runs Steam games without Windows OS is VERY attractive. I was trying Steam Link on my TV the other day and it sold me on the idea of having a simple under-the-TV solution for my Steam library.
