If their stupidity provides liquidity at higher levels I'm all for it.

Speak for yourself. Us? Everyone who didn't vote for him did so knowing this would happen. Don't lump us in with your "us."

This is near Mt Manaslu in Nepal.

Not only Xi. You can pretty safely make that argument for most of Xi's advisors as well. The US is not sending its best.

Did Meloni attend this?

Curious how Melania wasn't seen anywhere near her husband until after he was reelected. High character people all around.

Idiocracy.

Very few in the GOP, at any level of government, would get that answer correctly

Dual circulation policies and inchoate stimulus efforts make this a very different China from 2016. Partially due to Trump's actions.

I feel like this is similar to people saying 'he's not serious about a Muslim ban' eight years ago.

I wish someone would back out Chinese predictions and reality from this chart. Without China's massively over delivery I'm fairly confident this chart wouldn't look nearly as encouraging.

It's not to prevent jaywalking it's to shine the light on the ground fpr people on their phones. They're in Kennedy Town too.

Yes exponential growth happens off of low bases. China's capacity additions have been so large and so beyond expectations that they single handedly cause these surprises. Other countries are rarely exceeding forecasts and even if a few do it's a wash against the majority of others which don't.
November 16, 2024 at 10:11 PM
Correct. The chart is pointing to global renewables capacity added, and the upside surprise it shows vs forecast. My point is that overwhelming majority of that upside surprise is in China. Rest of world ex China would not look nearly as impressive.
November 16, 2024 at 12:11 PM
show me that graph backing out China and I have a strong hunch we'll see a much different story.

It's not funny and it's sloppy. There's one scene where Lorne leaves Jim Henson at what's supposed to be a doorway for Jim to exit. It isn't, and you see Nicholas Braun kneel down to try to get out of the shot. Can't miss it. Sloppy.

There are whales in the Caspian Sea? assume this is just an activist stunt? I'm not against it, but this is not a natural occurrence.

Would love to have a non judgmental entity to practice Mandarin but don't think I can get ChatGPT in HK. My huaqiao friend was using it in Taiwan to translate with his grandmother and it was pretty incredible.

there are no alarm bells in cults. even if there were they wouldn't pay attention to them.

In an open setting like a golf course? I hear what you're saying, but the agents in charge of protecting presidents seem woefully short in this instance. Whether that's tactics or hardware or whatever, I'd hope someone pointing a gun at a president wouldn't be able to drive away from the scene.
September 16, 2024 at 12:07 AM
Trained guy with a site on a well tuned rifle seems like what people protecting the president should be prepared for.
