I admit I'm a bit mesmerised by the fall of the American Empire, however I haven't had the sense to retire quite yet, and starting something of a death march on a new project, so need to get rid of temptation/distraction. I'm not great with temptation.

Yeah, the sealion and shark do have a range of about 100 km, so I think legitimately transition vehicles for country travelers in Aus where the distances are large and infra structure limited. I know people who can get most of their driving on solar + battery. Shark is still huge though

Isn't that what we said about Dutton though? Not sure, seems like so long ago. Opposition leader doesn't attract the bright liberals as there aren't the opportunities for lucrative corruption. Hence so many religious nuts.

It's hard to compare, but looks like they are both low, arround .04 per TWh generated, but solar in a lower range. Over all about equal in generation currently, but solar growth is exponential and nuclear flat. So yeah, bullshit. And that's not even considering risk and waste!

Oh nice! I have read some accademic stuff on scarification and tattoos, it was amazingly common, and very interesting. What they went through, ouch. The subcultures I mentioned are all very engaged with pain.

I'd love to do an anthropological study on tattoos as subcultural signifiers. From observation gym/UFC lots of tribal, black metal of course mythological /satanic. Road cyclist and Tibetan puzzles me.
