Kennis koesteren, doorgeven, zelf maken ... is een maatschappelijk functie van de #universiteiten, ongeacht of die op onmiddellijk "iets oplevert". Het is een maatschappelijk goed, geen economische parameter.

Or social spaces for families that does not require a fee, but I think irritated adults at a overflown Disneyland on a hot day are the least of the problems, compared to let’s say urban design with less green spaces and cars-dependent traffic.

The author seems to be born yesterday to think that explicitly stating the dislike for children is a recent phenomenon. Which is not. Yes, we can have a discussion about how there are less public spaces for children to roam safely

But before I finished the book I had trouble connecting to the story because of the gory scenes and the blatant depravity of some characters. I found the pointless cruelty taking place on the pages so unreal. But after six months of the 2nd Trump term, I am like: “Oh…”
