Runner. Reader. Education professional. Cat dad. 🏳️‍🌈👨🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼 Just sharing my own thoughts.
I live in a state where both my Senators voted to end the shutdown and they failed to get anything out of the deal. Literally nothing to bring home to our state. I think I am sitting out their elections next year and in 2028.

Remember to ask, what is this a cover for?

And the news covering Musk’s departure from the administration without mentioning that he is timed out is lazy at best. Why are we giving credit to someone who has to leave by law?

We can all agree the “big, beautiful bill” drama is just a show so when it passes the republicans can manipulate the media into a “party united” cycle where we get the tired “this is how it came together” stories that ignore that hidden gems like blocking courts from enforcing contempt charges.

I like my senators. I also am disappointed in them a lot of the time. Today I am particularly disappointed by one.

When students tell you that you look tired, then it’s time to go home.

Both looking forward to and dreading running home while it snows. I contain multitudes. 🫤

So tired of political news stories of the Dems in disarray (please forget that word). Cover the actual goings on instead of a private organization’s navel gazing. Especially two years out from an election. Legacy media is as bad as social media where clicks are more important than useful coverage.

I swear every photo of Atwood is a disapproving look. Or asleep.

Why does today feel like a two iced coffee day? Don’t know my sleep schedule can accommodate another coffee.

Resisting (and failing) the urge to visit the local bookstore to order more books. Maybe I can delay a couple days but this chilly weather requires more books in the home.

Do I like the gym now? Do I look forward to lifting heavy things?

Learning to focus on fitness goals that isn’t running specific is different and new. I feel like I’m reading nutrition labels as much as I’m reading novels. This gets easier eventually?

Have too much work to do but can’t stop coughing. Took a sick day so I can write emails in bed while listening to Radiohead. And the cats are pretty stoked. Small wins?

Conducting interviews all day and spilled coffee down the front of my shirt. 😞 Because, of course.

Maybe unpopular opinion, but why can’t I tell Spotify no holiday music until December?

It sadly doesn’t feel untrue.
BREAKING: Trump taps the Property Brothers to head Department of the Interior.

Thinking of next year. Need to set running/exercise goals but am avoiding because I will need to change eating habits. And it’s too cold right now to think of not eating food.

Snowy and icy roads on the run this morning. All my motivation for the day went into not sliding into traffic. Can I just crawl back into bed with the cats?

Still getting the hang of this. But have to say the vibes here are so much better.

Atwood and Papaya compete to be the most possessive of me. (Henri owns the husband.) Atwood is wining today.

We’re sharing our pets!

Henri(etta) is our 6 year old tabby; Papaya is our 5 year old tabby polydactyl; Atwood is our 1 year old black void. They are neurotic in their own ways and I love everything about them.
