One certainty after an earthquake in Southern California is Dr. Jones will teach us something new about the amazing place we call home (that also sometimes freaks us out). #usgs
Today's M5.2 is the largest quake near the Elsinore fault since I came to California in 1983. But there were quite a few M4s along the way. A junior sibling to the San Andreas, the Elsinore is long enough to have given us some bigger events

There isn't a meet that goes by without some incredible result from a local high school T&F athlete. Last Saturday, that was UC's Kai Anderson. That bar is at 17 feet. The athletes standing by cheering are from other schools. @ucberkeleyofficial.bsky.social has an outstanding talent headed its way.
