I first noticed I had poor eyesight when I still played hockey, the puck was becoming a blur.
Been mainly used contacts since, glasses can get in the way when doing physical activity.

Glasses are probably better in the long run, my eyes feels quite dry after staring at a screen all day.

LDR could work, in my case I was a student at the time so traveling was severely limited. Which was one of the reasons it didn't work out in the end.
