I would ask why you think someone criticizes Schumer wouldn't notice this story but let's be real: you don't think that. If you need to be this childish to try to laterally attack people you disagree with, you may want to consider your own confidence in your position.

I'm sorry, this suggestion just gets weirder the more I think about it. Public figures whose personal livelihood is attached to social media should maybe pause before advocating encouraging kids to enter a paradigm that is necessarily going to treat them very differently, and that has few concrete

I'm not sure there is reason to rush to judgment in either direction, with or without this tiny data point. Nothing about this suggests a causal relationship, and it's easy to conceive of reasons for this distribution other than 'more social media = less child suicide.'
