After a difficult night last night, we ended up sending a patient to jail after he assaulted two staff. I'm tired of my job, and I'm tired of managers not giving a shit about our safety. I've been interviewing elsewhere and I feel good about my chances to leave. I wish I didn't have to.

A coworker was telling us about how he tried eating dog when he was traveling to Hong Kong, and then he started going into detail and I had to tell him to stop talking in front of 4 other people. Including our boss. I was upset by it. Why the hell am I the only one enforcing boundaries???

I came in early to bring a Christmas tree for the kids unit at my psych hospital. (Just plug-in, not live.) And my gift is being given an admit right at shift change. Fuck the charge nurse so much. 😡

My coworker made us all handmade vanilla extract for the holidays. Vodka + vanilla bean pods! Kind of an amazing idea.

Just found out I've got Christmas Eve off work. What a shock? I might get one holiday with the bf after all.

I think my bf is scared of the holiday because I've bought him a few gifts already. He's like "How much are you getting me?!" It's nothing pricey, just little stuff. But he's not used to being spoiled a bit, I guess. No it's not about $ spent, either. I just want to find personal stuff.
