I scored all of these books for free today. A high school library was sending them, among thousands of others, to the literary graveyard in the sky.
For today, my favorite find was “A Tour of the White House w/ Mrs John F Kennedy” because sadly, THE PEOPLE’S HOUSE will never again be the same.
A white bookcase holds 25 books with titles such as “A Tour of the White House With Mrs John F. Kennedy”, “From Selma to Sorrow - The Life and Death of Viola Liuzzo”, “The Good Fight” (Shirley Chisholm), “Never to Forget - The Jews of the Holocaust”, and “Behind the Curtain”(the Iron Curtain), among others.

It is so damp and chilly here today. But knowing how poorly I’m feeling (covid 😩), my 81 year old mother bundled up, and climbed the hill behind my house to pick a bunch of daffodils to brighten my day. ❤️ Thanks, Mom.
