Literally at the VA hospital with my spouse rn. He’s having an urgent health issue requiring surgery. They can’t get him in surgery until end of September bc it isn’t an “imminent risk of death” … it’s just 2 liters of fluid busting from his spleen, no biggie 😳😳

but it was different actually seeing other women go through the same thing. I found my courage to unmask there. I found women sharing their trauma there and realizing so much of the shame I carried around was NOT MY SHAME TO CARRY. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cry last night /f

YES!!!! After years, YEARS of my therapist saying “so are we ready to talk abt an ADHD/ASD diagnosis” and me being like “nah I’m good” 🤣🤣 seeing women my age going through late in life diagnoses gave me the courage to talk about it. I’m a whole ass nurse. I know ppl get dx at all ages. /1
