Yep! I remember those conversations, too. No follow-up. No long-term support for PTSD. Nothing. It just comes with the job. How awful for this to be the reality.

You are 100% correct. Hospitals need to fix this. Healthcare workers are victims, and it is not on us to fix this.

Not that this isn't important, but it reeks of reliance training, placing an additional burden on healthcare workers. Which is unfair since we didn't incite the violence in the first place. Just like it is not our fault we burn out.
