it's really not. the most common outcome of contracting measles is immune amnesia, which makes the kids more susceptible to infection. and even if some kids with dumb parents end up dying, I think it's perverse to call that "self-correcting"

not when the judge claims the Campaign Legal Center is "a Soros funded group," despite that Open Society last gave CLC $200k in 2020. meanwhile, Buffett's kid and the Ford Foundation have given millions more recently.

one example: Judge Smith complained that a lawyer for the plaintiffs is employed by Campaign Legal Center, which he described as "a Soros funded group." Open Society last gave CLC $200k in 2020. meanwhile, Buffett's kid and the Ford Foundation have given millions more recently.

said "Soros operative" with a "Soros piggybank" is a professor at UCLA, which makes this even more unhinged.

A mathematician who graduated from my high school a few years before me [who now has tenure at Williams] wrote up a fake statistical analysis about the 2000 election to buttress Trump's claims of election "irregularities":

I haven't actually. I'm waiting for a science outlet to report on my analysis since it's become clear that normies don't understand my analysis.
October 30, 2025 at 6:53 PM
that's from August 30th. it's a response to Israel MFA's mostly misleading/bad faith "rebuttal." there was only one correct thing in Israel MFA's response (that reported malnutrition deaths in Gaza were declining in late August), and unsurprisingly, the IPC didn't address it.

can you explain to me more what you mean by that? perhaps it may be easier to explain what you think the ADL should be doing now as opposed to what they're actually doing? my thoughts are more primitive and are basically just: "not criticizing Elon Musk's neo-Nazi salute was bad."
October 25, 2025 at 8:19 PM
what exactly was the ADL like 100 years ago?
October 25, 2025 at 4:48 AM
Of course it did. The FRC explicitly said it used Spagat's "CDR" of 1 as its baseline (instead of the actual baseline of 0.2) and then inferred that the famine mortality threshold had been exceeded.

It turns out the malnutrition calculation was wrong too, but I will make that public later.
October 17, 2025 at 1:04 AM
also you are citing FEWS, which is not the FRC. in 2024, FEWS declared a famine in Gaza, which the FRC later stated was unfounded. the FEWS report is brief and contains few details

your resolution states: "Acknowledging that the International Court of Justice found in 3 provisional measures...that it is plausible that Israel is committing genocide in its attack in Gaza." This is WRONG.

Here is then-President of the ICJ explaining why you're wrong:

I gave you links to articles in which Romney spelled out what he would have done differently.

anyway, I get it, this is BSky, so any takes that aren't "Romney was 100% wrong, and Obama was 100% right" aren't welcome here.

yes, and the only likely impact of Romney's socially conservative views would have been his SCOTUS nominees, which I stated were the only reason to vote for Obama over Romney.

I did live thru Romney being the governor of my very blue state, so I'm aware of how he operates as the chief executive

we know this b/c Romney actually commented on Obama's policies wrt Ukraine & Syria in real time, and the benefit of hindsight tells us Romney was right:

what were the major things that happened in Obama's second term other than Syria (Obama's infamous "red line") and Russia's first invasion of Ukraine?
April 7, 2025 at 4:49 AM
Obama's greatest achievement was Obamacare (from his first term), which was modeled on Romneycare. I benefit from both, and I actually benefit more from Romneycare (I have a zero deductible MA ConnectorCare policy with affordable co-pays).

so I guess I have a soft spot for Romney. lol
April 7, 2025 at 2:47 AM
Romney's potential SCOTUS picks were the only reason not to vote for him in 2012.

were it not for his SCOTUS nominees, Romney may have been a better pick for President in 2012, based on 20/20 hindsight foreign policy considerations (i.e. Ukraine, Syria, etc).
