Spot on. And many thousands of those who expressed disapproval then would have voted Trump again last November. All of those same people who are going to be hit hard by this one deserve everything that’s coming to them.

The book is much better. I don’t always think that, but the film doesn’t capture the inner voice of Cardinal Lomeli… renamed in the film..PS it would be a better World if every Cardinal read this novel).

According to the BBC: “The Conservatives said the changes were "too little, too late" and needed to be "tougher". I wonder who was in power for thirteen years until last summer, and whether Lord Shinkwin knows what “tougher” would mean in practice should his party ever get power again?

The focus must surely be supporting reform so that an “elected monarch” no longer has this power, at least unchecked. The fact that such reform is vanishingly unlikely is beside the point.

Given the way she is torturing that creature, I’m not sure “kindness” is the word that best springs to mind…Perhaps offering prayers to the bond market might be of more help.
