I was worried about all the negative reviews about my favorite metal band's latest album, but I still bought it and it's been on heavy rotation since. It's not Catharsys bad, it's OK. Not many tracks pop out, but they're all solid and fun.

THE REFORMATORY by tananarivedue.bsky.social takes the cake so far. The setting alone is horror-inducing enough. The characters are so alive they echo all the way to now and the ghosts of times past haunt us still. Tremendous heartwrenching book.

Got MY HEART IS A CHAINSAW by @sgj.bsky.social because of how much I'm digging EARTHDIVERS right now. Loved the novel's breakneck pace, the deep dive into slasher movies, and the lead, Jade. Man, Jade's something else! Will get the other novels next.

Finished BLACK RIVER ORCHARD by chuckwendig.bsky.social. Creepy and educational at the same time. Been a long time since I read a horror novel and this one brings the skincrawlies, it does. First time reading Wendig too. Will definitely check his other novels.
