Bought my favourite reggae / dub album of all time there :

I used to buy a lot of vinyls in Stafford @ Phil’s Collectable Records, Wolverhampton Rd. He was so reasonable re prices, knowing my reggae predilections. His main source of records was the US & Canada, going every few months to buy old library collections etc at auctions & ship them back in bulk.

Oddly, I bought You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby in the wildly successful MiniDisc format. As regards audiences, I once ‘deejayed’ a friend’s party only for him to shut it down mid way thru this track. I think, not least, the pharmaceutical reference was a tad obvious to his erstwhile work colleagues…

Personally, I’d lead with a Thunderbirds theme 54321 theme countdown sample followed by Acid 8000 by Fatboy Slim. (NB audience dependent!) :

The left love shouting from the cheap seats. They instantly forget the 14 yrs of Tory rule & will no doubt regret the next Tory / Reform governments they invite.

Labour lost so much positivity since the election. Though turning around such damage was always difficult. Rejoining (the EU) has to be part of the next manifesto. They should already be building the policy. I’d also progress another devolution vote to Scotland.

Good to catch up with you in BlueSky, onwards and upwards!

Yes. Especially, good to see Joan Fletcher in the mix. Sad that the demise of BBC Four etc has limited so many interesting voices.

Yeah, same as on BBC where the cut from 20k to 12k (not excluding 20k in S&Ss) was a ‘big blow’ to a couple on a combined income of 100k pa. They also own their own home. Just BS find a victim stuff.

Though the John Lewis one is more edgy. It looks like the son has stashed some Es with an old dance record, for his Dad, under the Christmas tree

Guess they’d have to be drinking the Kool-Aid instead of Cobra there…

Yea, I’m unfollowing YBL as a result. Thin gruel, accepted as meat.

Hmm, don’t think this means a lot in the current context.
