We were hiking in southern Utah and this hummingbird was attracted to my pink shorts. She landed in my hub’s hand and he gave her a little water.

one showed up today just crying and couldn’t get her beak into the feeder. I caught her because something was on her beak, I held her carefully and got her free of it, and she was able to get a drink!

I wish I could show you, but I didn’t want to take the time for a pic. We feed the hummingbirds (I’m not thrilled with it, but they’ve been absolutely begging, going after everything red and not giving up, there’s not much flowering here due to a late frost and hot, dry summer, so here we are) and…
