I make quips and do dumb things on the internet.
I think that about covers it, for now. There are still some QOL improvements I could think of for Atlas (see: my other Atlas thread) but I'm content with what burdens have been lifted from his shoulders. And if that's not an appropriately thematic way to end this, I don't know what is.

Crit isn't the only place where Landslide is feeling revitalized, either. 15% Status Chance might not be "high," but it's enough to have an impact. I've yet to experiment extensively with it, but one application that comes to mind is Melee Exposure potentially adding some armor strip to Landslide.

I don't like to see options fall completely out of relevancy, but Arcane Avenger on Atlas--prior to Kullervo's introduction--was problematic. It's much healthier where it is now, serving a purpose that can be competently built around without feeling like the only viable approach.

Wrathful Advance and the introduction of more competition for Arcane slots were already pressuring Arcane Avenger out of its foothold, and this update may finally have cemented it as simply another option, rather than the must-have it once was.

Additionally, the buff to Landslide's base stats has given my stony boy a lot more room to breathe. Wrathful Advance remains a strong option for Atlas, but no longer feels like the obligatory choice, as base 35% crit is much more forgiving for a multiplicative build.

Has my Landslide damage decreased? Pending further testing, yes. But it is 100% worth it to know that, as a mentor, those whose eyes shine as bright for Atlas as mine once did can stand beside me without the obligation to invest so many resources into a riven with a limited, singular scope.
March 25, 2025 at 9:57 PM
Now, with a separate exalted slot for Landslide, a riven like the one I have has lost its entire purpose. I consider that a good thing, because privilege and luck should not be what separates the capabilities of two Atlas players.
March 25, 2025 at 9:57 PM
For context, I've historically used Furax Wraith on Atlas. My riven for it currently has +93.6% Crit damage, +138.6% Impact, +186% Melee damage and -81.5% Status chance. This type of roll was perfect for Landslide, and acted as a major barricade between playing Atlas and playing him at his best.

I've had several peers--both before and after the update--ask for insights on how to build Atlas, and if there's one thing I'd single out as the most impactful change in that discussion, it's that there are far fewer "mandatory" aspects in the approach. It's a huge boon for the lower/middle end.

Now this is the quality of text editing I like to see.

Fall backward. Now fall forward. Go face-first into the floor. These things happen when you're sleep deprived. Nap time.

So what do I get if the Cyborg bytes me?

No need to stop there.

They've since been replaced.

Your posts were insightful, and I appreciate you taking the time to respond.

I also agree with your point about the overall nuisance of knockdown effects, and the detriments that would follow from, in theory, axing one of the most reliable sources of preventing it. To make any changes feel comfortable, it's something they'd need to keep in mind, and that creates extra work.

My sister and I often discuss Warframe balance theory, and lacking a definitively good answer seems to be a common end point. I suppose that's just the nature of a game that has been regularly updated for as long as it has; even seemingly small issues can cascade in ways we don't expect.

Whether or not you agree with my stance, I hope you enjoyed the read on my perspective. Feel free to strike the match now and let's get this barbeque going.

As a disclaimer, I don't have specific usage stats for Primed Sure Footed, so my reasoning for wanting it to be changed could be built on sand for all I know. I went into this thread with a gut feeling instead of solid numbers, so that's sloppy on my part, but the mood struck, and so I wrote.
