I also want to give a HUGE shout out to our DJs who came together as such a community this weekend! I think that is the most supportive and connected group of DJs I've ever had the pleasure of being the coordinator for and I'm so grateful for them and all of the support and energy they bring! The weekend may have been a very challenging one, but the amazing people at CFF still made it a great experience despite all of the setbacks. I want to thank the staff and volunteers especially for their support! (6/8)

I made it back home about 45 minutes ago, but damn, I hated having to leave and not being able to be there tonight. I wasn't able to do many of the things I was hoping to do (including suiting) but I'm so thankful for the friends I was able to see and the new friends I made this weekend. (5/8)

That's when I got a text from my neighbor that was watching Gracie saying she had a family emergency and had to leave town immediately and wasn't sure when she would be back. Thankfully my brother was able to step in and feed her today but I was now anxious about nobody watching her. (4/8)

Fortunately I had brought a second pair of shoes with me in case of disc golf and after switching to them I noticed gradual improvement. Still, the pain kept me from sleeping Fri to Sat and the posture for mixing was particularly painful. But I was hopeful it would recover enough to DJ. (3/8)

I hurt my lower back in the first 24 hours of the con and the pain got so bad Friday night that I thought I had relapsed on my slipped disc from 2 years ago. I think it's just muscle strain from bringing shoes that ended up being terrible for me (and then spending 14+ hours in them). (2/8)
