this winter has been so cold and wet and full of rain and slushy snow. I just want spring.

not it just occurring to me that adam lambert's "original high" album turned 10 this year. it still sounds so fresh and new.

"arctic outflow! minus 23 C winds!" can winter be over already?

all I want for christmas is at bare minimum socialism.

I think it's damaging how we label emotions as positive or negative. I think it puts a moral presumption on them and it's not healthy. emotions are emotions. feel what you feel. how you deal with it and act on it is another thing.

it's really ableist and classist the way people use "jobless." the disdain for the unemployed is really shitty and people need to think twice before they use terms like "jobless behaviour" and judging people for being unemployed.

absolutely shocked and speechless hearing the news of Lamarr Wilson. I watched Lamarr on and off for many years and I am so shaken by this news. Everyone says he seemed too upbeat to be depressed but some people are very good as hiding it. my condolences to his family and friends during this time.

I don't understand how some people can get so deep into snark pages and guru gossip. I don't mind poking my head in every now and again but people who really get into it feel obsessive to me.

and while I don't consider myself to be a highly jealous person, I am not immune to it. with jealousy comes insecurity and shame and beating myself up for not being what I deem mature enough, or the most grown up version of myself. why can't you just be happy? what's wrong with you?
no emotion is good or bad. it's how you deal with it that matters but I was never told that growing up. I was policed for thought crime. realistically I know all of this but it doesn't stop me from feeling terrible if I feel the slightest kick of jealousy.
me: grew up in a very christian environment where many emotions were seen as sinful, jealousy being one of them.
me: why do I feel terrible if I feel the slightest kick of jealousy and get mad at myself and act like I'm some monster for feeling emotions? oh wait..

remember kids, "no" is a complete sentence. don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
December 18, 2025 at 3:07 AM
please, please stop using "ocd" as some slang term for "I am nitpicky or very peculiar" about something. OCD is a real disorder and not a cutesy phrase to mean teehee I am quirky.

I am so over the term "face card."
December 13, 2025 at 6:27 AM
I feel like a lot of people just assume all millennials are 90s kids when some of us were born in the 90s and are 00s kids. but people act like all 00s kids are gen z.

idk. just a personal pet peeve.

Posting this is a risk for how future employers may see me, but staying silent hasn’t protected me either. I’ve faced too much discrimination lately to keep it in.

I've tried formulating it in words best I can, and hope this brings peace and awareness:

Three things:

1) No longer classifying swastikas, nooses, and the Confederate flag as hate symbols is quite bad, and in line with many other actions from this admin.

2) Congrats to the cancel culture moral panickers.

3) I don't think a good political response to this is to shrug at Nazi tattoos.
Exclusive: The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika, nooses and the Confederate flag as hate symbols.

The military service drafted a new policy that classifies them as “potentially divisive.”

michael jackson's eyebrow game in the late 80s/early 90s was so strong.

“The government is allowed to post real death threats on social media but you’re not allowed to post sarcastic death threats on social media” is actually a pretty apt distillation of power and violence

"saturday morning cartoons died in the 90s !" no, they didn't. what is this revisionist history people keep touting? I've also seen some people say they died in the 00s but they were still very much a thing in the 00s. I think they kinda died somewhere in the mid 2010s, though it was a slow death.

but it gets to a point where it becomes greedy and entitled. david bowie for example released dozens of albums. I can understand why some people may feel sad he'll never make anything new but personally, I am content with his body of work. it's so vast you'll always find something "new."
nobody wants to just be content with being a fan of something, they're always wanting something new. for example with music artists, people want a new album every year and that's not feasible. even after the person passes, people want all the unreleased material and more, and I can understand that
I saw a very thought provoking thing on a forum (I still go on forums in 2025, crazy), and people were like why is our forum so quiet and this person listed a handful of reasons but one of them was some people cannot just be a fan in today's age. they want new stuff constantly. that stuck with me.
