Now what about rotten meat? The most obvious thing is - you COULD eat it technically! But nobody likes that, and it poisons you. So, gross.

Instead it's one of two recipes for making organic compost! Compost is expensive but once made it stays made - placed and left alone it becomes rich earth!

Today on Minecraft Weird Thing Wednesday (Tuesday) is bone meal and rotten meat! These are awful, what do you use them for? Well, bone is actually pretty neat and to do anything interesting you need a lot! At its most basic it can be white dye which is very helpful. But you can make blocks from it!

Gold ore blocks, lapis, and even diamond? Now that's fortune.

Places like this are like - what would they have been for? Skulls, chains, treasure chests, ore, flags, barrels. ???

Hey everyone, we're back on schedule - come hang out tonight while we make the run on the castle! Riovanes is known as that hardest fight in the game, can we do it hugely underlevelled??

The three day a week schedule seems pretty sustainable because two hour streams aren't especially intensive. So if you're down with hanging out on saturday or sunday then I'll be able to move to 3 a week.

You know, I think you give me some Togusa vibes here.

This is still the official days for streaming, we have tuesdays and thursdays locked in like it's october 1st - still running at the 6 to 8 PM hours Central Time. We'll be making the run on the hardest fights in the game on Tuesday so be there and be square! or whatever.

Check below for more tho!

Hey everyone, we're gonna be doing a very chill Sunday Night Streaming event at 6 PM Central on Twitch to sorta test streaming more often - it'll likely be Tactics random encounters and chat or Minecrafting and Chill.

It's low key - no story or narrative events today, just a few hours of vibing!

I had some extra deepslate plates I wasn't using for anything and I had been trying to decide about what to use for building grids between pillars and decided that these would be ideal from separating the hard cobble main paths from the filler walkways we're laying down with the other cobble.
November 9, 2025 at 5:23 PM
Because I've been aiming for consistency there have been scores of what are essentially rounding errors in my mining where things have been left in the floor. I'm coming back bit by bit to mine ore and material and replace it with cobble.

Sometimes you'd think that since I've finished up an area, I've moved on and don't return but that's not quite true. I spend a pretty good amount of time in these mines and I thought it was time to upgrade the lighting.

Pretty productive exploration. A lot of redstone, gold, and some iron. Plus construction material misc.

The map suggests another geode presence. I haven't found a great use for amethyst yet but these are good sources of renewable crystals and clusters.
November 8, 2025 at 4:48 PM
ah, good thing, too. we can see some copper and redstone.
November 8, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Here is an unexplored section of cave - I haven't gone down there because I didn't have the right lighting or tools but now I went and made some.
November 8, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Down in the lower Residence Mines area there's a lot of gold and copper I haven't mined yet because it wasn't that safe. Here was a bunch, we're pretty far down so I travel in opened caverns which often have seams visible.

An overhead map overlaying the above and below ground areas. Red is what's been built where you can see - not easily visible is the bridge and tower + cottage. Green is the visible mines (they're deeper than you can see) and the dungeon. In purple, where they'd be linked if I connected underground.
November 8, 2025 at 8:38 AM
The same area at 3.0x magnification, in the lower left you see the Residence habitation area is reasonably condensed into a narrow space - ie. not that large. in the upper right, the above ground visible areas of the Complex.
November 8, 2025 at 3:43 AM
Giving an example of the size of this level of the underground mines in the Residence area (bottom left), the underground dungeon complex deathtrap we broke into once (whole right side) at 3.0x magnification.
