I'm not sure how but I feel like you have some mismatch in RGB range, full or limited, and it's caused the "black" parts of the video to just be dark grey.

It really is. I just wish it got a sequel already... and that the art was higher resolution, it feels like they never really intended anyone to play this on something bigger than a phone screen heh... but it's not too much of a concern, just a "man it would've been nice if higher res".
