My "realistic" take on this is suffrage after 30 days as primary residence, which is what PA (and I think most states?) have as their criteria for US citizens getting the vote

AAC is going to be way worse at low bitrates. I'd try Lyra, Satin, or maybe Codec 2

The discoverer posted a writeup on Twitter (only there, unfortunately): twitter-thread.com/t/1943708133...

Gives some more details than the article. To disambiguate jargon: BCH checksums aren't a security thing, they're just error-correcting-codes to repair transmission errors from noise.
Turns out you can just hack any train in the USA and take control over the brakes. This is CVE-2025-1727 and it took me 12 years to get this published. This vulnerability is still not patched. Here's ...

Question I had from your article: was their fallout model *better* than the one NUKEMAP has, or just of historical interest?

Yeah, a constitutional rewrite is essential if we ever want to get out of this.
Would however like to insist that people thinking about this read and steal ideas from the constitutions of places that are doing well or have something useful to say given our circumstances (DE, FI, CH, ZA).

This is basically a French-style semi-presidential system with a somewhat weaker President. Pass.

I've been interested in a purely-parliamentary system without even a ceremonial presidency (PM is both head of state and govt.)

Senate also has to go, either leaving us unicameral or to DE-style
