Rabbis who speak out on these issues are considered too political and they are afraid to lose rich donors by taking a moral stand of any kind. It’s the opposite of upholding Jewish values.

I wish my rabbi would say something even remotely like this. Too concerned with offending those big donors.

No collaboration with Nazis, fascists or oligarchs. Full stop. Signed, a NYer who voted for you.

They have been dash for a few years now.

I will be standing in between them, so…

Well past time.

They. Don’t. Care.

The ADL has been full on fast Israel for while now.

Just realized they are hostage families. Disgusting.

Plenty of us will be hurt in the very near future. I will not stand by either.

They will be rounded up with the rest of us, even if they refuse to acknowledge what’s going on in front of them.
January 20, 2025 at 11:40 PM
Just in case you needed more proof that the ADL is 🗑️

What’s with the yellow scarves??
January 20, 2025 at 11:35 PM
Me! I was the first to have kids, and my son is autistic. He’s 26 now and we didn’t know a damn thing about autism then and there was no internet to speak of. I printed out things and put them in binders so I would have to go through the dial up and search hassle.

You just proved my point.

The r origins of phrases like that are based in fear and hatred of disabled people, even if the result is phrased in a positive light. There are other ways to say the same thing that are not offensive.
December 11, 2024 at 11:14 PM
Nope. You need to spend more time listening to disabled folks and learning about ableism. You can do better.
December 11, 2024 at 3:07 PM
I love the idea here, but that’s simply not true. Deaf folks need interpreters, not kindness. Blind folks need Braille and audio description. Kindness is not equity.
December 10, 2024 at 7:08 PM
Well that was fun! Bluesky for the win!
