Every year on Memorial Day, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring.
They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died.

I know that Memorial Day honors all those who died on active duty. But we should honor all those who fought for our great country! My Grandfather, Dad and my Uncle Sam (Sabino) all fought to secure America and Europe!
