Ahead of the Budget, the Green Party is calling for immediate cost of living measures to cut bills by hundreds of pounds, and for fair taxes on wealth to raise over £30 billion a year.

This weekend Wrington councillor @cllr-thomas-daw.bsky.social joined Greens in Bristol to protect asylum seekers in a hotel from far right protesters.

The Green Party will always stand with marginalised people, and against the forces of fascism.

This week the Council moved a step closer to approving new homes and employment sites, based on new government targets.

@annemiekewaite.bsky.social, as cabinet member for both Planning and Environment, has pledged to work hard to ensure that the homes that are built are affordable and sustainable.

Our councillors had another busy month in May. Here's a snapshot of some of the things they got done on the Council:
NORTH SOMERSET GREEN PARTY. WHAT WE DID IN MAY. HOMELESSNESS AND ROUGH SLEEPING: Reviewed the Council's 5 year strategy to ensure it's ambitious enough and meets needs. HEALTHCARE: Attended meetings on the merger of our healthcare region with Gloucestershire, in the face of drastic Government cuts. CLIMATE: Tackling the proposed expansion of Bristol Airport from 12m to 15m passengers per year. HOMES: Continued our enquiry into landlord licensing, to improve conditions for renters. REAL HOPE.
