Superman Smashes the Klan, originally a radio drama later adapted to comic, was a rare example of media combating ideology and curbing recruitment of KKK members, but it didn't do it with satire, it showed the KKK as they are (dork losers) and then had Superman kick their teeth in cuz they're evil.
