We want to congratulate ALL students and teachers for helping young people to achieve their potential. Art and design A level (GCE) entries have decreased very slightly this year, whilst across nearly all grades attainment has risen. 1/2

Following an 8-week consultation period, during which NSEAD sought the views and testimony of members, partners & a range of stakeholders with an interest in education in England, the Society has submitted a comprehensive set of responses to the government’s curriculum review call for evidence.

This year, NSEAD launched our Art Educator Manifesto, which upholds the entitlement for every learner to access art, design, creativity & cultural education. It presented a clear set of hopes, aims & actions: each one aligns with our values as a trade union, learned society & subject association.

During #iJADE2024, keynote speaker John Johnston, UNESCO chair in issues based arts education at ArtEZ University of the Arts in the Netherlands, invited attendees to produce a creative response to the question; "Why am I here?"
