The North Shropshire Beekeepers' Association was founded on the 23rd August 1945 as a fully affiliated member of the British Beekeepers' Association (BBKA). The aims of the association are, "to encourage and develop the art and science of bee keeping"

Beyond the Basic Examination – The George Knight’s Award was awarded to the North Shropshire Beekeepers' Association as the area association whose members made the most effort and progress overall in the British Beekeeping Associations examinations and assessments for the year 2023

Beekeeping Taster Course 2025
The Association runs a 'Taster in Beekeeping' course each year at Tilstock Village Hall, Shropshire, for people interested in taking their first steps with keeping bees. The 2025 course at Tilstock Village Hall will be over the weekend of the 26th and 27th of April
